Das ist ja mal eine Meldung zum Jahresausklang: In den Stern-Shortnews wird über eine Neuentwicklung aus dem Hause Hitachi berichtet. Dabei handelt es sich um ein Handy-Display, dass eine Auflösung von 800 x 480 Pixel zustande bringt.
TechOn schreibt hierzu:
The users can view the entire image without side scrolling when browsing websites designed to match the size of a personal computer monitor or watching VGA (480 x 640) video. The panel employs the company's proprietary liquid crystal technology called IPS that boasts wide viewing angle and high image quality.
Damit sind die neuen Display fünf Mal höher auslösend, als der bisherige Standard von 240 x 320. Darüber ist auch My Gadget Info begeistert und schreibt:

Wir schreiben das Jahr 2009. Mittlerweile sind bereits mehrere Handymodelle mit 800 x 480 Pixel Display auf dem Markt. Das Toshiba TG01 Display ist mit 4,1″ sogar noch größer als das 3,7″ Display vom Samsung Omnia II (i8000), beide mit stolzen 800×480 Pixel Auflösung.
